Vineyards: Planted on terraces in the Vale de Mendiz and Roncão, using a bilateral cordon training system. Acidic and schistic soil with some stones, located at an altitude of 250 to 350 metres. Average age of vines is over 30 years old. Vineyards with ‘A’ letter ranking.
Grape Varieties: 35% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz
Vinification: Grape selection, total de-stemming followed by soft crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control. Ageing for 8 months in French oak barrels.
Colour: Intense dark ruby colour.
Aroma: It has a rich aroma of ripe fruits and new oak.
Palate: Very concentrated and well balanced, hints of floral and spices. Soft tannins and lingering finish.
Serving suggestions: Serve at a temperature between 15º to 17ªC. Perfect with red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses.
