50% Tinta Roriz, 30% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Barroca

Tasting Notes:

Deep color with purple and black core. Your sense of smell translates into a peculiar explosion of fruits from the forest with dense notes of blackberry and currant jam, an elegant and intense. On the palate, it reveals ripe tannins, with a powerful wave of fresh fruits that they flow intensely towards a long and complex finish. Fine fruit and inner power combine perfectly with the maturity and depth typical of the year.

Vineyard:

Quinta da Separra, located on the right bank of Castedo do Douro, in the heart of the Douro Valley. South facing sun exposure. The vines were planted in monovarietal plots between 1991 and 1992.

Winemaking:

It took place between the first and second weeks of October, the grapes were de-stemmed and vinified according to the traditional Port Wine method. Fermentation that transforms the natural sugar of grapes in alcohol, takes place under controlled temperatures.

Maturation:

After the harvest, our winemaking team selects our best Port Wines, which are aged for 2 winters in French oak casks. In the second spring, the wines are tasted again. After quality control by the winemaking team, only the wines of exceptional quality are blended and bottled in the 2nd spring.

Store the wine:

The bottle must be kept horizontally, protected from light and heat.

Serve the wine:

Ready to be consumed. It must be decanted to remove the natural deposit formed by its aging. Serve ideally at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC.

Pairing:

We suggest it with intense cheeses. It goes perfectly with desserts rich in chocolate or wild fruits.
